Project Brief

Jack came to us looking for a fast, aerodynamic road bike built specifically for fast-paced group rides and road time trials. The goal was clear: maximise speed and efficiency while keeping the bike comfortable and familiar for long, hard efforts.

Our Approach

Jack supplied a number of components along with existing bike fit data from his previous setup. Our task was to recreate his proven riding position, then fine-tune it for improved aerodynamics and performance.

We maintained Jack’s original reach to preserve comfort and power output, while narrowing the cockpit to reduce frontal area and improve aerodynamic efficiency. This subtle adjustment delivered a more aggressive and race-focused position without compromising control or comfort.

To help manage costs, we integrated components from a previous build where possible, ensuring excellent performance while staying within budget. Alongside the build, we also recommended targeted upgrade paths that would offer the greatest speed gains in the future.

Jack now has a road bike that’s equally at home on the front of fast group rides or against the clock in TT efforts, with a setup tailored precisely to his needs.
